LIGHT UP YOUR SENSES
AROMATHERAPY SCENTED CANDLE

Since ancient Egypt, plant oils have been used for their perfume and skin soothing qualities. Ancient Chinese used the plant's essential oils for perfumes and healing tinctures. Today, the oils included in an aromatherapy scented candle can be used to provide the same benefits.

Aromatherapy scented candles are wonderful gifts, suitable for every occasion and are available in a gift set which includes bath oils to complement the candles' scents. Lounging in a tub with bath oils of peony and lilac, and a candle with the same scent burning nearby, can soothe the mind and cleanse the body.

Many Scents for Many Uses
Despite making great gifts, aromatherapy scented candles also offer many self-indulgences as well as feelings of enhanced physical well being. Additionally, most of the candles come in decorated holders and add a decorative touch to any room.

Sticking to the desire for a natural improvement, many aromatherapy scented candles are made with soy bean wax instead of paraffin wax. Soy wax is amore natural product, burns cleaner with no black smoke and has no odor to interfere with the essential oils being burned in the aromatherapy scented candle.

Several blends are available including palmarosa, rosewood and cedar wood for relaxation, and to help in a restful nights sleep there’s an aromatherapy scented candle with Roman chamomile and lavender.

Many aromatherapy massage therapists will use aromatherapy scented candles in the massage room to stimulate quicker relaxation for people wishing a massage with essential oils to relax. This provides the stimulation for relaxation on two levels, one being smell, the other having the oils massaged into the body.

As the use of aromatherapy scented candles grows every year so do their availability. For those wishing to make their own candles, essential oils can be purchased at most health stores and on numerous sites on the Internet. Care should be taken, however, to ensure that the oils purchased are pure essential oils and not just juice squeezed from a plant.
